About PropaneIQ

We didn't set out to build software.
We set out to stop drowning in paper.

PropaneIQ was built inside Georgia Energy Propane Gas, the family propane company Bill Young founded in 2004. Two decades and three generations later, we're still setting tanks, running leak checks, and making deliveries across Georgia — the same work every propane company does, with the same paperwork every propane company dreads.

And the paperwork was winning. Tank set forms, leak check records, inspection checklists, duty-to-warn acknowledgments — stacks of it, everywhere, all of it waiting for someone to find time to scan it, file it, and pray they could find it again if an inspector or an attorney ever asked. Every sheet in those stacks was a compliance record that mattered, sitting in a pile.

The software we found was built for offices, not for the guy standing next to a tank. So we built our own — and we've been using it on our own jobs ever since. Every feature in PropaneIQ exists because we needed it ourselves.

How we build

Georgia Energy is PropaneIQ's first customer. Every tank set form, leak test, and inspection in this software gets used on our own jobs before it reaches yours. When something doesn't work in the field, we're the first ones to hit it — and we fix it before it ever becomes your problem.

What we believe

Propane companies run on trust — with customers, with inspectors, with insurers. Your records are how that trust gets proven. They should be effortless to create in the field, impossible to lose, locked against tampering, and instantly findable the day someone asks. That's the whole product.

Who's behind it

I'm Hank Guinade, and I've done the same work you do. Tank sets, leak checks, out-of-gas calls — every day, at the company my grandfather, Bill Young, started in 2004 and my dad runs now. I didn't build PropaneIQ to sell software. I built it because our office was buried in paper and nothing out there fixed it. Turns out every propane company has the same pile.
